Garick Appoints John C. Gundlach as Vice President of Sustainable Environmental and Energy Group

(CLEVELAND, OH) Garick, a nationwide distributor and processor of sustainable natural resource products, is proud to announce the appointment of John C. Gundlach as Vice President of Sustainable Environmental and Energy Group. Gundlach joins the Garick team this July and will lead a focused team of professionals in developing and implementing partnerships with public agencies and private industry, helping them manage organics waste streams towards a goal of self-sustainability and zero waste. This will include the creation of renewable bioenergy, biofuels, and bioproducts from organic waste streams.
Involved in the fields of wastewater, industrial waste, and organics management for 23 years, Gundlach brings extensive knowledge of recycling and sustainability to Garick, areas in which the company has a strong passion. Prior to joining Garick, Gundlach was Manager of the Organics Waste Department (since 2000) and Manager of the Industrial Waste Department (1989-1999), both for the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (Chino, CA). In these positions, he managed biosolids, manure, food waste recycling, and industrial wastewater programs.
Gundlach has held the title of Project Manager for the Inland Empire Regional Composting Facility, the largest indoor biosolids composting facility in the United States. Additionally, he served as President of the Association of Compost Producers and in 1992 was the CWEA-SARBS Industrial and Hazardous Waste Person of the Year. Gundlach received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Colorado State University, Fort Collins.
